ARGENTINA 11 DAY BIKE TOUR

Itinerary:

  • Arrival and meet-up hotel, enjoy the hotel facilities, or head out to explore the charming town of San Carlos de Bariloche.

  • We set out on our first ride, an ideal introduction to cycling in Patagonia. Today’s route follows the famous Circuito Chico, one of the most scenic loops in the region.

The ride takes us along winding roads with stunning views of lakes, forests, and surrounding peaks.

  • We leave San Carlos de Bariloche behind and transfer by vehicle to Confluencia, where today’s ride begins.

From here, we cycle towards the beautiful Lake Meliquina via Paso Córdoba. This is a spectacular gravel ride through remote Patagonian landscapes, following quiet backroads that wind through fertile valleys and dramatic mountain scenery

  • We head out for an exciting day of trail riding on the slopes of Cerro Chapelco, overlooking San Martín de los Andes.

Today’s ride takes us through the Chapelco ski area, surrounded by beautiful native forests and mountain scenery. The region is known for its extensive network of high-quality trails, including long, flowing single tracks.

  • We begin our journey north through the province of Neuquén Province, heading deeper into the Patagonian wilderness.

A vehicle transfer brings us to the starting point of today’s ride, where we begin cycling along the legendary Route 40. This iconic road takes us toward the northern reaches of Lanín National Park, with stunning views as we ride alongside the shores of Lake Aluminé.

  • We set off from Villa Pehuenia toward the impressive Batea Mahuida Volcano. This dormant volcano, located near the Chilean border, offers a unique cycling experience through high-altitude landscapes.

  • Bike toward the historic Paso del Arco, an old and now abandoned border crossing that once connected Argentina with Chile. The ride takes us through remote landscapes, offering a sense of isolation and history unique to this region.

  • We cycle along remote rural roads used by local Mapuche communities, heading toward the confluence where the Aluminé River meets the Malleo River—a place often referred to as the “meeting point of the sacred rivers.”

Throughout the ride, we are accompanied by spectacular views of the iconic Lanín Volcano from different perspectives.

  • We head out for a morning ride exploring the trails and rural surroundings of Laguna Rosales.

The route follows sections of the renowned Huella Andina, as well as the Patagonia Run trails, including La Tucumana single track. These paths offer a mix of flowing trails and scenic terrain, leading us toward the shores of Lake Lolog
